What is SWIFT?
SWIFT, (an acronym for Safe Wise Investments for Tomorrow) makes you confident of your future because it allows you to make regular contributions into a safe investment account.
Who can sign up to use the product?
Anyone who is eighteen years of age and above can sign up. Minors (people under the age of eighteen years) can be signed up by their parents/guardians in trust for them.
How do I sign up to SWIFT?
You can sign up using one of the following methods:
- You can sign up through a Dalex SWIFT Field Sales Agent who will take all the necessary details.
- You can download the SWIFT mobile application on your android smartphone (other platforms will soon be available) and register by filling in your details.
- You can also log on to www.dalexswift.com to complete the registration.
- You can contact a Call Centre Agent by dialing 721 (toll free) to be signed up.
What are the details I need to provide during the sign up?
You have to provide the following personal data:
- Phone number
- National ID
- Date of Birth
- Residential Address
- Next of Kin
- Address of Next of Kin
- Phone number of Next of Kin
Do I need to come to your office to sign up?
No, you can sign up using any of the methods indicated above. Alternatively, you can phone the Call Centre on 721 (toll free) for a Field Sales agent to help you.
How long will it take to sign up?
It should take less than five (5) minutes if your information is readily available.
Can I have multiple accounts?
Yes. However, each individual account will be linked to a different mobile number.
Can I invest for others?
Yes, you can invest for others provided you have their phone numbers.
Can I sign up if I have no money at the time of sign up?
It is expected that immediately after sign up, you will make a deposit of at least Five Ghana Cedis (GH¢5.00) in order to activate your account.
How do I deposit into my account?
You can deposit into your account using any of the following methods:
- Paying from your mobile money wallet (Mtn, Airtel, Tigo, and Vodafone)
- Depositing through mobile money merchants (Mtn, Airtel, Tigo, and Vodafone)
- Using the post offices
- Through Etranzact internet platforms with partner banks (UT Bank, Zenith Bank, UBA, Access Bank, Bank of Africa, First Capital Plus, First Atlantic Bank and Energy Bank)
- Through payroll deduction for employees on Controller and Accountant General Department
How long can I invest?
You can invest for 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60 months.
Is there any charge on my investment?
No, there is absolutely no charge on your investment.
How many times can I withdraw money from my SWIFT account?
You cannot withdraw from your account until your investment matures, unless you choose to terminate your investment. If you choose to terminate your investment before half its tenure, you will only receive your principal investment amount. Additionally, if you choose to terminate your investment after half its tenure, you will receive your principal and interest accrued up to that period.
Can sales agents take deposits?
They can only do so if they are mobile money agents. Depositors should always remember to cross-check their transaction details which will be received via SMS immediately a transaction is completed.
How do I check the balance on my investment?
You can do so by dialing *721# on your mobile phone across all networks to receive the balance via SMS. You can also check your balance using the SWIFT mobile application, website or by phoning the Call Center on 721 (toll free) across all networks.
Do I pay commissions to mobile money merchants?
No, all commissions due the merchants will be absorbed by Dalex Finance.
What is the minimum contribution amount?
The minimum contribution amount is One Ghana Cedi (GH¢1.00). However, you are required to deposit a minimum of Five Ghana Cedis (GH¢5.00) in order to activate your account.
What is the minimum investment amount?
The minimum investment amount is Ten Ghana Cedis (GH¢10.00). You start earning interest once you have at least Ten Ghana Cedis (GH¢10.00) in your account.
How much interest does my SWIFT investment earn?
All your SWIFT investments earn an interest of 15% per annum.
How is interest applied to my investment?
Interest is applied on a monthly basis to your investment.
Do I earn the same amount of interest throughout my investment?
At sign up, the prevailing interest is maintained for one year and reviewed at the anniversary of the investment. Interest rates however, are revised every three months.
Is there a penalty on early termination?
No, there is no penalty on early termination. However, you are paid only your principal.
How long does it take to process an early termination request?
It takes up to forty-eight (48) hours to process an early termination request.
Why should I invest my money in SWIFT?
Dalex Finance is a respected financial institution and ranks 16th on the Ghana Club 100 league. Its operations are regulated by the Bank of Ghana, and thus your investments are well secured.
SWIFT offers competitive rates on your investments, with an interest of up to 15% annually. This product is convenient, allows you to make even small payments, provides access to your investment information at all times using your mobile phone, the nearest mobile money agent or the Call Center 721 (toll free). In addition, you can obtain a loan when you have cash flow problems without breaking your investment.
How will I know when my investment has matured?
Upon maturity, a notification will be sent to you via SMS or through the SWIFT mobile application informing you of the amount invested and the interest earned.
Upon maturity of my investment, what happens to my funds?
You have the option of deciding whether to reinvest all or part of your matured investment, or totally redeem your investment, in which case your entitlements will be paid into an account of your choice or through a mobile money merchant.
How long does it take to process my matured entitlements?
It takes a maximum of forty-eight (48) hours to process and pay your matured entitlements.
How do I roll-over my matured funds?
You can reinvest your funds by:
Making a request through the SWIFT mobile application
Talking to a sales agent near you
Calling the Call Centre on 721
How much can I borrow?
A customer is allowed to take a loan of not more than 80% of their invested amount.
How long do I need to contribute before I can borrow?
You need to contribute for at least three months, ensuring that your loan request constitutes 80% or less of amount invested.
How do I apply for a loan?
You can apply for a loan by:
Applying through the SWIFT mobile application
Talking to a sales agent
Contacting our Call Centre on 721
How long does it take to process a loan application?
It takes a maximum of twenty four (24) hours to process and disburse your loan application if you meet the required conditions.
How much interest do I pay on a loan?
You pay a monthly interest of 2% on a loan.
Is there any charge (commission, processing fee) on disbursed loans?
No, there is no charge on disbursed loans.
How long can I repay a loan?
It cannot go beyond your investment term. Your investment acts as a collateral.
What happens if I have a month remaining on my investment and I need a loan?
You may need to extend your investment term or else you will be expected to repay the loan within the remaining period
Can I still invest when I have a loan?
Yes, you can still invest when you have a loan.
How do I get my payment schedule for a loan?
The payment schedule will be sent to you via SMS or through a notification on your SWIFT mobile application. Alternatively, you can log on to www.dalexswift.com to view your payment schedule.
How often can I make a loan repayment?
Repaying of SWIFT loans may be daily, weekly, monthly or ad hoc in line with agreed terms.
How do I repay my SWIFT loan?
You can repay your SWIFT loan by using your mobile money wallet (Mtn, Tigo, Airtel and Vodafone), through mobile money merchants (Mtn, Tigo, Airtel and Vodafone), post offices, Etranzact partner banks, or payroll deduction for employees on Controller and Accountant General's Department.
